Bookie Tightens Odds On No Vote In Galway

Bookies Paddy Power have tightened the odds on a No vote in Galway East to 7/4, and a no vote in Galway West to 3/1 ahead of the Lisbon Treaty referendum re-run on the 2nd October.

Both Kildare North and Kildare South are hotly tipped to pass the treaty with Paddy Power quoting odds of 1/25 and 1/14.

Garden County Tipped To Vote Yes To Lisbon

Wicklow is on course to vote yes to Lisbon when the polls open on the 2nd October if the bookies odds are to be believed. Paddy Power are quoting 1/12 that the Garden County says ‘yes’ in the referendum re-run.

Even though Wicklow voted ‘no’ last time out, at 49.8% the ‘yes’ vote was 3% above the national average.

Too Close To Call In Cork North Central - Latest Lisbon Betting

With the exception of Cork North Central, the rebel county looks likely to produce a comfortable ‘yes’ vote overall. Cork East is just 1/7 to vote yes, Cork North West is 1/8, Cork South West is 1/5 while Cork South Central is 1/10.

Kerry Tipped To Vote Yes - Latest Lisbon Betting

The constituency of North Kerry produced the second lowest turnout of the thirteen Munster constituencies in the 2008 Lisbon referendum and could prove to be a tough nut for the ‘yes’ camp to crack with Paddy Power quoting touch and go odds of 4/11.

South Kerry on the other hand looks more likely to give the Lisbon the green light with Paddy Power making the ‘yes’ side their 1/6 favourite.

Touch And Go For Lisbon In Louth

Bookies Paddy Power have chalked up odds on how all 30+ constituencies are likely to vote in the second Lisbon Treaty referendum on 2nd October.

While most of Ireland are tipped to give Lisbon the green light it’s slightly less clear cut in the Wee County with Paddy Power quoting just 2/9 that the ‘yes’ camp emerges victorious, compared to 11/4 for a ‘no’ vote.

The constituency of Louth has been trending towards the ‘no’ side in recent EU referenda, culminating in a 58.1% ‘no’ vote in the 2008 Lisbon referendum. This figure was well above the national average of 53.4% for the ‘no’ side.

Carlow/Kilkenny Tipped to Vote Yes - Latest Lisbon Betting

The constituency of Carlow/Kilkenny produced the closest vote of all 43 constituencies in the 2008 Lisbon vote. The "yes" side had an advantage of four votes out of a total valid poll of 52,416! However with national opinion polls showing a swing in support for the ‘yes’ side it’s unlikely there’ll be a photo finish this time around!

Lisbon 'No Vote' Gains Momentum With Punters

The second Lisbon Treaty referendum scheduled for Friday the 2nd October could be a lot closer than initially thought if the latest betting from Paddy Power is anything to go by.
